    A2C believes in long-term growth. Since being established, A2C has continually made significant investments to improve product quality and expand the business.

  • Environment

    A2C utilizes all sawmill residues produced throughout the production process to minimize the waste and its impact on our environmental footprint. Our wood chips are primarily exported, through the Port of Portland for paper production, some are used on farms. Bark and sawdust, in a partnership agreement, are further processed and used for fuel and sawmill offcuts are recycled for local biochar production that restores soil.

Our Mill


A2C sawmill is located in Portland, Victoria which forms part of the Green Triangle forestry area. A2C processes more than 60,000 ton of pulp logs a year with 25,000m3 of finished green case products as well as 30,000 tone xport chips. Our products are sold to the domestic market and internationally with exports going to China, Thailand and Taiwan.

A2C takes pride in the products that we manufacture, it is primarily green case timber which is used in the manufacturing of pallets and packaging materials. Our products range from 75mm squares to 160mm by 160mm rectangular, in 3.6m long.

Our products can be made with and without anti-sap stain treatments, which assists in the export process with regard to mold and this can be undertaken on request.

In order to further meet customer demands and enhance the diversity of our products, we have introduced a brand new multi-saw facility. This new facility enables us to rip timber into various sizes, offering a wider range of products. We are committed to continuous innovation and improvement to ensure our products always meet the needs of our customers and provide them with more options

Our History

A2C was established in early 2016 as an export business based in Portland, with the aim of supplying semi-processed plantation radiata pine timber to Asian and domestic markets.

During 2016 / 2017 the Sawmill was constructed with Machinery purchased from Europe and the United States in Dec 2016 and was commissioned in late 2017.

To value add a Multi-rip saw and off-cut chipper are to be installed in September 2020.

A2C is looking at expanding the sawmill with another processing line purchased in late 2019 that should double the production volume with the opportunity to produce cut-to-sized boards.
